Chair the Standing Committee of Communications, which successfully provides a Web Site, Talking Points, and internal and external communications as approved by the Board. The NIA is a non-profit organization whose mission is to identify and lead on issues that affect Niagara industry and to advocate initiatives, which will enable its continued growth and development.

Positioned in a respectable but small company and was involved with all aspects of daily production operations included, but not limited to, trouble-shooting production issues. Made recommendations to the company's upper management team regarding production matters and attended weekly marketing meetings focused on improving the online presence of the company in global markets.

Worked with a group of four engineers by contributing design effort to the development of a military simulator. Weekly team meetings were held to address product development progress and issues. In these meetings each member's responsibility was to accurately present the state of their designated component of the project using both oral and written methods.

• Developed algorithms in C++ to interface virtual reality input devices with software simulator used by the US Military
• Programmed a conversion tool to translate between various 3D formats, including UnReal
• Optimized the UnReal Engine for stability and performance on VR equipment by altering how polygons were rendered in the virtual environment

Had significant latitude to design and develop company projects and products. In addition, made regular presentations to a group of senior engineers regarding design processes and outcomes; received and positively acted upon their feedback concerning these projects

• Developed a hardware watch dog timer to detect possible faults in gas turbines. This project involved schematics, logic diagrams and component assembly.
• Programmed an Excel macro that analyzed WinCC data trends, and highlighted critical points
• Optimized the Siemens FPGA automation controller code for faster scan times
• Designed a control system for monitoring Chromatographs using the Modbus communication protocol

Worked in a triage with two other engineers attending regular design meetings to either support or change product designs

• Performed signal strength response times and general fault testing on gas and steam turbine control system modules using SIMATIC, then presented test results daily to the senior engineer
• Developed local and remote interfaces for turbine PLCs using Citect and WinCC
• Designed and implemented an industrial data logging system that included networking, interfacing, report generation, and data logging, using WinCC, SQL, VB, Excel, and DCOM. Resulted in enhanced test result information availability and sharing amongst design team members
